Monk High Five PVE

This is a simple build. All skills refresh at roughly the same rate when done right so it's easy to keep it rolling. Great for PVE. Can be used 1 of 2 ways. 1. Activate your 3 primary attacks skills, target the opponent you want and use your fist of thunder teleport ability to get close to your target, then activate Mystic Allies. 2. Activate all skills at the same time and start high fiving like crazy. Note Mystic Allies let's you select a ln ally to gain it's attack ability. Choose Wind for raids, bosses, and PVP. Choose Chain Lightning for groups of monsters. Fire is the default when Mystic Allies is activated.

Reviewer NotesView notes

This is a focused PvE Monk build built around rapid primary attacks and synchronized burst windows using Flying Dragon, Imprisoned Fist, Seven-Sided Strike, and Mystic Allies. Its biggest strengths are burst damage, sustained pressure, and clearing clustered enemies. The build has a clear gameplay identity and is easy to understand once the cooldown cycle is established. PvP is where the weaknesses become more noticeable. The setup operates at close range, has limited protection against crowd control, and relies heavily on uninterrupted primary attacks. Stuns and other loss-of-control effects can significantly disrupt its damage cycle. It can still contribute well when defending an Idol or punishing grouped players, but it is not built for sustained frontline pressure or pushing into coordinated teams. The largest issue with the current version is completeness. No set items are specified, which makes it difficult to fully judge the build's final damage, survivability, and optimization potential. Overall, this is a strong PvE concept with a good foundation, but it needs a completed set configuration and stronger defensive/CC mitigation before it can be considered a fully optimized all-around Monk build. Recommended for PvE. Situational for PvP.

Play guide

How the build plays

How to play it

Activate your 3 main primary attacks buff skills 1st. Teleport to your target using the Fist Of Thunder primary attack skill. Then activate your Mystic Allies to bring your attack strength to maximum. Do this rapidly for best results. You don't have to activate Mustic Allies for this build to be effective. Note: Activating Mystic Allies disables the Fist Of Thunder primary attack teleport ability until the skill cooldown expires.

Rotation & priority

1. Flying Dragon, Imprisoned Fist, Seven Sided Strike. 2. Mystic Allies. 3. Mystic Allies primary attack buff selection.

Positioning

Have to be close to player for full effect. Can shoot from a slight distance if you choose the wind ability from Mystic Allies activation.

Strengths

Groups of monsters.

Weaknesses

Monsters that stun.

Counters

Loss of control effects that stop primary attacks.
